South Africa has extended the financing deadline for first-round renewables projects, as its government effectively admitted it had taken too long over regulatory approvals.
Pretoria will push the 30 June cut-off back by at least two weeks due to “logistical issues on the government side”, according to Ompi Aphane, deputy director general at the Department of Energy. Read more…
